Celebrating the life of
Carlton J. White
April 14, 1956 - December 11, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carlton J. White, Savannah, GA., on December 11, 2025. Carlton was born in Long Branch, NJ, April 14, 1956, to Carlton J and Josephine White (both deceased). He lived in New Jersey and Colorado until 5th grade and then moved to Joliet, IL., where he spent his formative years. Carlton played clarinet in the marching and concert band all four years of high school. His love of flying took him to Spartan College of Aeronautics in Oklahoma, where he received his certification as an A&P mechanic. Upon completion of his education, Grumman Aircraft, now Gulfstream Aerospace, recruited him for their Savannah facility. He was employed with Gulfstream for 48 years and his title upon passing was Interior Pricing Consultant. He was valued for his knowledge and dedication to Gulfstream.
Carlton is survived by his sisters JoAnne Gonda (husband Bob), Barbara Comaduran (husband Fred) and many nieces and nephews. Carlton and his loving friend, Carole Cornett, happily enjoyed 30 years together. She survives, along with her children Keith Cornett (wife Sherry), Missy Squires (husband Sean) and three grandchildren. Carlton loved living in downtown Savannah. He and Carole enjoyed time spent with friends and neighbors and with the many gatherings in Washington and Greene Square. He will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 16th at Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel.
